Elounda played Lakonia in a tense match that ended 0-0, with a a sending off just before the Final whistle.
For Most of the match Elounda were by far the classier side, with especially impressive performances by nos 14 and 33.
On numerous occasions number 14 weaved through Lakonia's midfield and released the ball to no avail.
In the first half especially, Elounda threatened.Two crosses by elounda no 11 , Vassilis from Alygoss went straight across the goal with nobody in support to tap the ball in.
The second half started lively and Elounda always looked like scoring, but somehow, and to much frustration of the coach never seemed to.
Only once did Lakonia test the keeper and he was more than up to it as he too had a good game, despite rarely being called upon.
After two penalty shouts, a red card was issued against Lakonia for a clumsy tackle right on the edge of the box and the resulting free kick that took place pretty much summed the match up for Elounda as it promised but never delivered.
The match finished 0-0, with Lakonia the far more relieved to hear the final whistle I am sure.
